It seems very natural for me <g> - I got accustomed to it, and open multiple windows all the time. It lets you advance faster, since it often takes some time to load the pages. You can quickly open several messages that seem interesting, and while the pages load, continue searching other messages of interest.

(And in the case of Opera, I have visual clues, which pages have finished loading.)

Note that on some pages, with JavaScript, the Shift-Click won't work correctly (at least, not in Opera). In the case of the Universal Thread, that would be the FAQ and Download areas, and the job section, amongst others.

Yes, right. I am not sure how to solve this.

Additional note about Opera (www.opera.com): after using it for a few hours, you will probably never want to use IE again.
