I'm using VFP7 SP1 with SOAP Toolkit 2.0 SP2 to access a .NET Web Service, and I'm having a strange problem. One of the parameters is slightly modified XML generated from XMLToCursor(). The problem is that once this XML reaches 7344 bytes, I get an Unknown COM Status Error. I'm almost positive I tested with this much data in the past, but alas, I'm getting the error now and so are my clients. The error does not occur with VFP8/SOAP 3.0 nor with VS.NET 2003, just with VFP7/SOAP 2.0. As far as I know, there is no size limit on the client side for a SOAP message, and certainly not this small.

In the debugger, I can see that the fault string is "Client: Incorrect number of parameters supplied for SOAP request", but it appears I get that message even when the call succeeds with fewer bytes, so it is not telling me much. I'm at a loss for what to do next. Any ideas?

UPDATE: The debugger was showing the wrong detail message. The actual error message is "Client:Sending the Soap message failed or no recognizable response was received HRESULT=0x800A13C3 - Client:Connector - Bad server address. HRESULT=0x800A13C3"

Thanks.
