Jason,
The probable strongest possibility of some "link" between Iraq and Al Qaida was in that area in the southern part of the northern NO FLY ZONE (i.e. controlled by the U.S., not Saddam) near the border with Iran where there was a large camp of some Islam fundamentalist sect that may have been terrorist too.

That Saddam sent $$$ to families of suicide bombers attacking Israel indicates no "link" with Al Qaida.

>Commissions? I just simply don't trust any of 'em. Funny how we poke at the Warren Commission for coming to its seemingly ridiculous conclusion, yet some of us can't wait to embrace any that are anti-Bush administration. These commissions, by the very nature of being populated with political types, have their own agendas, least of which, I fear, is the truth.

So you trust CNN or Fox News more? Who do you trust? I say you can't really trust any American "news" organization these days. Period.
Self-interests and marketing have reached very deeply into all of them, just as those factors were the ruin of Arthur Andersen and the other big accounting firms.

cheers
