Cathy,

I actually read it for the umptieth time before goung to sleep yesterday, in the Tips section of FoxPro Advisor, and I have also seen you showing this trick many times. It's one of those tricks which makes you say 'cool!', and then you forget about it.... :-)

By the way, my keyboard played tricks on me, I pressed Enter in stead of a semikolon, here's the correct line:
m.company;M.addr1;M.addr2;M.addr3;m.addr4;city,state,' '+zip
>Tore .. you beat me to it!! I use this trick all the time and I have found that very few people know about it. Usually when I show this trick in a session at a conference somone will ask if this is new to version [the latest]. When I tell them this has been around since Dos -- everyone is in shock!!

>>Did you know that you can simplify this with an old trick which is not commonly known, but which has been around since DOS days? Enter ONE line like this:
>>m.company
>>M.addr1;M.addr2;M.addr3;m.addr4;city,state,' '+zip
>>I'm sure you won't believe me, but this one line will do ALL the things you want! The semicolon means 'print the next word on a new line if it's not empty', the komma means 'trim the next words and separate them on one line with a space between them.
