This is a dumb question I know but please bear with me..

I would like to have the contents of a text box assigned to a variable so when a command button is pressed the variable can be used to help (argument?) launch another application.

I would like for this to occur either as the text box is being "tabbed away" from (LostFocus event) or as the command button either receives the focus or is being clicked on. I would also like to make sure any spaces at the end of the text box's content are pruned off.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Alan

P.S. Is there a way in FoxPro to see if a file exists? I would like to include some functionality to first verify the above mentioned application is installed and if not respond with some sort of message box telling them to take care of that first (then quit the program).
