>Hi Jim,
>the cost of bread, milk and meat is the same in Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Russia and Bulgaria. This is because of globalisation. Bulgaria import veal from USA and Agentina because it is cheaper than produced here.
>The only difference is HOW MUCH EVERYBODY CAN AFFORD TO BUY with earned salary. This creates standard of living.

I'm quite sure that you are wrong about this, Jordan. You are saying that a loaf of bread in Russia costs the same as in Canada??? A litre of gas in Iraq costs the same as in U.S.??? Rent for housing or business is the same price all over the world??? I think you better look again.

>The Bulgaria is not communist country from 15 years, may be most of you do not notice this :-)

I see your "smiley" but I still consider that to be an insult. I am not as stupid as you may think, though I am undoubtedly not as smart as I might think, at least on certain issues.

>High minimum page create lazy persons. I am against fixing of minimum page. If there are jobs and peoples which are agree to work for this salaries they are OK. Otherwise business is forced to move in low cost countries some industries which require lowcost wages. Or creates job black market.
>If bussiness do not do this, consumers like me and you will refuse to buy some goods.

Again you OVERSIMPLIFY. A higher minimum wage is simply a NECESSITY in a place where costs are also high. It's as simple as that! There will ALWAYS be people who are "willing" to work for less, but do you believe they would not take more if offered? Businesses DO move to low wage countries. That is why China is growing so fast and the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and others are having jobs shrink so fast! (Prices for necessary good, though, only continue to grow) Now the nice low wage of China is very attractive to business, but even more attractive is the TOTAL CONTROL that is offered over the workers! This includes no unionization, no concern for worker safety, no worries about the environment, an endless supply of labour etc etc. And most workers are sent far from their homes, so about half of their "wage" is paid back to the company for "room" (a bed in a barracks) and "board" (two bowls of rice a day).

Some of us do try to refuse to buy products from China, Malaysia, Viet Nam, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, etc already, but the fact of the matter is that so so much is now produced there that there is often no other product available! Two weeks ago I found some Canadian made undershorts and T-shirts that cost an extra 33cents per unit but have much better quality (pre-shrunk, far better construction, 100% cotton, more material in the T-shirts). Believe me I was very happy to buy these!
