In Mexico, 6 Years, a lot of politic options, the main are: PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) http://www.pri.org.mx/, PRD (Partido de la Revolucion Democratica) http://www.prd.org.mx, and PAN (Partido Accion Nacional) http://www.pan.org.mx.
The president of MX is Vicente Fox (not related to M$), who won the past elections in July 2000 as PAN candidate, he's the first non-PRI president in the last 75 years.
The next elections will be at July 2006, but there a lot of movements arround the next period.
MX has a main electoral college called IFE (Instituto Federal Electoral) http://www.ife.org.mx/, who has all the information about votants.
To win the president election every vote count, if we have 120 millions of habitants and 100 M can vote, the next president will be the one who has more vote of them.

>I'm doing a little information gathering here.

>In America there are elections every two years, I know that.

>But what about the rest of the world? If you live in a democractic country other than the USA, when are your next elections? Are there any aspects of your democractic process that differ from us in the USA that would also be helpful to know?

>Thanks.
