I didn't like the Trabant not because it was a bad model, but because it was damn old and malfunctioning more then half the time. It even used to open a door at random. But then, which other car can produce a screeching start whenever you like?
We had an urban legend (which supposedly happened in my street) that the pigs have eaten some Trabant's doors and sides. See Emir Kusturica's movie "White cat, black cat" (or was it vice versa?), there's a scene where it happens.
Also, the same band which produced the "Wartburg limuzina" song, also had previously published one called "Blue Trabant", which also ends with it being eaten by pigs.
