I tried the select sql option which includes the group by clause. This work fine with VFP7. The same code gives 'sql group by clause missing or invalid' when used with vfp9.

The samples / solutions has a group by based on top ten selling items. In case I create another query/view with the table order_items alone sum (quantity) group by order_id the view/query does not save gives message ''sql group by clause missing or invalid' . I use regular indexes in VFP7.

what could be the problem ?
