>We are using VFPs DBC to its maximum potential. The trouble thing is, upon putting persistent relationship between tables, and supposing there are lot of tables inside, it is really hard to visualize clearly the said connections/relationships because of too many lines crossing each other. Is there a tool (third party) to generate hierarchical diagrams of a particular Data Dictionary? I know that there a lot of third party Data Dictionary builders but we do not know which is better. Your recommendation is highly appreciated.
2 Killer Apps that we use for Datamodeling are:
Infomodelers (Which has since been purchased by Visio) and is
located at
http://www.visio.com/infomodelerthey have taken down the 30 Day fully working Demo but should have it
back up soon... The demo allowed us to truly try the product before
purchasing it (Like $600 at the time) It allows us to Reverse Engineer our
current DBC's/Tables and Also Sync the tables with changes we made in
Infomodeler... Handles Up to Visual Foxpro 5.0
The other one is Data Architect at
http://www.sybase.com which also
has a free 30-Day Demo on-line and it quite awesome as well...
