OS - Windows 95

I have two printers set up on my computer. One for printing reports(HP laser) and another to print lables(Okidata m321T). The report printer is the desired one to have set as default. However when I print labels I don't want to have the user prompted everytime and just want to assign the printer outright. I know the printer name from an ini file setting and checking APRINTERS() to see if it is there. But when I use

SET PRINTER TO NAME MyName

it says"Error accessing printer spooler." The printer is ready though. These are custom coded labels so I am not using the label wizard to assign the printer to the labels. If I make the label printer the default and use

Set Device To Printer
Set Printer To

It works just fine, but then reports go to that printer. Any ideas?
