Go to the Internet Settings, Applications page and choose proper e-mail client. In most cases it shows your desired client in combobox, even if it is "not properly installed".
So you need to chose another application, apply, then choose desired client and apply again to fix the problem.
/A new technology turns into completely outdated stuff before you have a time to read "Getting Started..." section.
/If there are some "system programmers" then others are unsystematic.
