I know I missed quite a few. Actually, I don't miss them at all. I'm almost happy I forgot that language... which is the reason I get ticked off seeing it happen all over again.

This sort of foggy language is specially notable in military expressions. In Milosevic's wars, the units were never surrounded. They were "in enclosure". And there was no "front", only "warlands" ("ratište").

Similarly, I have never heard of US Army retreating. The official expression is "take evasive action".
