Hi Thomas, I'd appreciate it. Since there are hundreds, whether I come up with a way to streamline this development process today or next month it will still help. Our method is not that much different than yours. Both use the fillable form fields on the pdf form. Originally, we used fdf files to populate the fields on the pdf, then we changed to xfdf to use an xml format. Now, we have an activex control that allow us to step through all of the fields on the pdf form and set their values based on the name of the field on the pdf. We have a cross-reference table that matches the acord formfield name with our program's variable or table field. Our users enter data into fields on a VFP form and then it is stored in a table. When the user clicks on print then the values are taken and stored in the pdf form's formfields using the activex control so the user can view the pdf form inside of our vfp form and the fields are already populated. We set the control on the vfp form tag property to match the fieldname on the field on the pdf form. That is the time consuming portion (development mode) that I am trying to speed up.

Thanks again for checking into it.

Tracy

>Hi Tracy,
>AFAIR when building the PDF's we had a script getting us all the relevant (and often changed...)fields - but they were filled via FDF fields and that might make a difference. I'll ask the lady who did the PDF design and most of the "good stuff", but that will take till monday at least. If she still has it...
