While building a new .EXE file for a rather large project, the build process freezes on certain Form files. The work around for this is to manually recompile certain Form files prior to doing the build. The list of files where recompiling is necessary continues to grow.
Note that all of these files are kept under source control in Visual Sourcesafe and are retrieved prior to doing a build--not sure if this is a factor or not.

My question is: What might cause this type of behavior to occur?
