Are you sure you have set up a ´foundation read´. You need to do this (read events). If not the runtime environment will start your program/form and terminate it as well because nothing is waiting to process any envents. The development environment does this for you so everything seems to work just fine.

You can test this as follows: start the VFP development, run the exe from the command window. If it works here than the ´fr´ is not properly set.
