I'm with you 100% for the often unnecessary information carried as pure baggage. Even more aggravating is the missing common class for all vfp base classes - we have "base classes" with unneccesary info but not a clean way to enhance all classes without code redundancy (decorators for all classes will be bad for performance, inheritance is the main vfp avenue.) So I have to create another builder to insert identical code passages into classes to keep a singular template for later code changes.

Also agreed - but I had to write parsing routines in other languages (as you probably did as well), and hacking the vcx is less pain. There is some good with the bad.
