I follow the instructions you mentioned. But still printing is coming very dark. Let me tell you what I did:

1. In config.nt I put files=99 and buffers=77
2. I created a batch file and saved it on c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
3. As per your instruction I typed the following lines:
net use lpt1: \\national\act-epson
net use lpt2: \\national\sales2

Pl. note national is our server name and printer name is act-epson.

Pl. let me know what I am missing to achieve the target.
