Hi Neill,

My guess is that lots of "processes" are temporarily disabled during the install.
My install of SP2 ran flawlessly.

There may be MSKB articles on how to re-enable VPN, but frankly that isn't good enough. Hell, I went through the settings for the Firewall and came across nothing that worked. Mind you, I only tried a few things because most of the options had to do with allowing stuff on **MY** system, and that wasn't may problem. It was also pretty stupid that the actual connection reported as starting up fine (had to enter my password and such) but it was only when I went to use it that it reported connection not available.
Real funny that disabling the Firewall let me work OK with it!

This is decidedly NOT an practical/useful implementation of the "Firewall" nor are the available options clear as to their purpose/applicability.

cheers
