I downloaded and paid for PDQCOM32 from the Crescent Company last night. I loaded it and FoxPro immediatelly started GPF'ing. When Crescent techinical support opened up in the morning, I learned from them, they have never heard of it working in VFP, Indeed 4 or 5 other people have called in to complain of VFP GPFing. They, themselves, only test for VB. However, several people on the thread have said they use it and did not mention any problems.
I have tested in Win 95 and NT 5.0 beta.
Maybe there is a work around I need, that no one has bothered to mention.
Any responses are welcome. I am curently using MSCOMM32, which comes with VFP, and is not very robust. Unless very carefully tuned, there are buffer overflows, material reduced to garbage etc, apparent line noise, etc. PDQCOMM contains zmodem capability which I will need shortly.
