>It is worth noting that New Zealand's top positions are currently all filled by women: Prime Minister, Chief Judge, Supreme Court head, Attorney General, Governor General are all women. Apparently that isn't very common on the world stage?
Both Canada and BC have had female Prime Ministers (provincially called a Premiere), but both were "lame ducks" since they weren't elected into the positions, they won the leaderships of the parties and inherited the positions from the previous elected first ministers.
