Terry,

from the little knowledge I have on the bible, the one remains: Jesus was not crucified by the romans - it was done by the jewish autorithy. Wasn't that the main argument used against the jews by christians?
I understand that is possible to argue that this autohirthy was a roman puppet, but this is not the plain fact. At least the level of independence was much higher then that of the Iraqi / Afghanistan authorities this days (Do I remember someone handed Mr. Hussein to them?). Pontius Pilatus was, to my knowledge, a man how works hard for the prosperity of his country and people.

>From what I've read about Jesus - not an interpretation from a 12 step barker - he would speak against tyranny - he would vandalize the temples where money changers and a corrupt clergy preach war. He would have faught against this injustice. He would have faught against it until Rome (modern day US?) crucified him.

>>>But lets just pretend we only have one Iraqi that died as a result of the invasion. >
