I am currently working at a site use VFP7 with Windows XP running on the workstations and Windows 2000 Advanced on the server.

Previously, when I've been looking into various problems to do with transaction updates etc, I have read that it is recommended that disk cache is switched off on both the server and the workstations to ensure that transaction processing is reliable.

Is this the case and, if so, does anyone know how this is done on an XP workstation.
