Terry,
I won't comment on your views of the Bible, because that is another question entirely. However, I was not joking about the woodpecker. If you examine the structure of the woodpeckers head there is much more involved than just the padding necessary to keep the bird from blowing his brains out. The entire structure is designed with the goal in mind. The tongue takes a strange path around the padding etc. All of these changes would have had to happen in cooperation with each other for the goal to be achieved. There is no mechanism in evolutionary theory to explain this. You examples about the 'wee bug' further highlight the point. A theory that does not explain is not a good theory and should not be give the standing of unassailable fact that is currently given to it. I admit I am a Creationist and that I do take the Bible literally ( By that, I mean I take it as literature).
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
