>I dont recall reading any specific books on evolution but I have done some reading on the subject. However, at this point it is not my knowledge that is in question. You have made a flat statement, and I am simply asking you to substantiate it. Since there are many different species and the base assumption of evolution is that all life forms evolved from more primative life forms, then it must be true that at some point there was a half something.

What is actually in question is this statement:

"Those who study this from my perspective say that the fossil record does not ever show evidence of intraspecies evolution."

If you're looking for a half of something, then chimpanzees are half men; the dinosaurs are half reptiles and half birds:

When people say the evidence for evolution is overwhelming, this is the type of evidence they're talking about.

Now, if you're making the claim that because no "half cat, half dog" exists in some cartoon looking animal, as many opponents of evolution do, then this is the statement that demands substantiation. What exactly do you mean by intraspecies evolution?

The hardest thing to figure out about this whole creation vrs. evolution thing is why can't a creationist accept that evolution is the method God used in his creation to produce the organisms that exist today? I mean, its not like accepting evolution means you have replace your old beliefs. You just extend them to include the new knowledge. You should allow your beliefs to evolve.
