I did more tests:
with ListBox : 2.44 secs creation, 4.43 secs destruction
with ComboBox : 6.14 secs creation, 116.21 secs destruction
with Grid : 8.33 secs creation, 217.26 secs destruction
(I created a cursor with 1000 records and set is as recordsource, so I somehow cheated with the grid <g>)
FWIW, my comment in the first post was to agree with him about the slowness of the destruction of the objects
