Please clarify, are you printing from the Foxpro for DOS application on the Windows XP machine to that LQ 570 printer or not? I thought your previous message stated that your documents ARE printing to the LQ 570 from the windows xp machine in Foxpro DOS but they are printing too dark and not in draft mode?
In WordPad, the documents are being sent in graphics mode to the LQ 570 printer which is why they are not being printed in draft mode.
In Foxpro for DOS, if you send the draft mode escape code prior to printing like:
#define DRAFT CHR(27)+"x"+CHR(0)
SET PRINTER TO
SET DEVICE TO PRINT
SET PRINTER ON
?? DRAFT
@0,0 SAY DRAFT
@1,10 SAY "Test printing in draft mode"
EJECT
SET DEVICE TO SCREEN
SET PRINTER OFF
does it print in draft then?
Also, the printer driver is substituting fonts possibly so using a different printer driver on the windows xp may help. Try the generic printer driver and see if it works then as a test. Are you using ??? or @...say to print or is a fpd report?
>I print a document from WordPad to LQ-570 Printer. It is not recognizing Draft Mode (Which I set earlier). It prints in Sans Serif Style only which takes long time to print a full page doc.

>Let me explain u the environment which I have. The Operating System of My PC is Windows-XP Pro. The Epson LQ-570 printer is attached with a PC which has Windows-98. From that PC (Win98) everything is coming perfect in draft mode, Roman or Sans Serif Mode whatever it is. The other 2 users also get the correct output from their PCs. They have also Win98 OS.

>My requirement is "How Can I print a document from my PC from my application (Foxpro Dos) in same style as it print from Windows 98.
