>I've got a class that opens an ODBC connection to a MS-SQL 2000 database. I've noticed that when I execute a method in the class that creates a table or an index it causes the MS-SQL Enterprise Manager to hang up with an hourglass cursor until I release my class in VFP. If I create a table or an index with the class and then go over to the Enterprise Manager it will wait indefinitely when I click on the 'Tables' option as I go down the tree to get to the table I just created. As soon as I release my class the list of tables opens in the EM and I can continue.

>Is there something that I have to do when I create a table to release the resource so that the EM can continue? I can't find anything on this anywhere I look on the UT. Any hel would be greatly appreciated.

Are you beginning a transaction before you create your table?
