If you just want to move the database, DUMP it to tape (or file). 6.5 will load it. After it's loaded you'll have to run a program called chkupg65.exe. It will check for SP source in SYSCOMMENTS and reserve work conflicts.

Most importantly is that the new database MUST be created using the same fragements that the original was. Use sp_help_revdatabase to create a script that contains the correct fragements.
