It never occurred to me to search because my accountant had given me the percentages to use for each deduction, and after going over the irs' book and finding out that there are simple formulas to come up with the numbers, it was very straightforward.

Of course, you have to realize that in my case I only pay ALL my employees on a bi-weekly basis, so there was only one formula to use for all of them.

If you're thinking about something of a more generic nature, I think you'll be dealing with about half a dozen formulas (weekly, monthly, semi-monthly, bi-weekly, semi-annually, annually, etc?).

Either way, I really recommend that you visit the irs, or if you feel lazy, let me know and I'll email you the pdf version of the book you need for the federal portion of the taxes.
