Oh - now I see - the thread drifted in a discussion of Fundalmental Christian zealots, evangelocals Christians. Dubya, as many Evangelical leaders would say, was appointed by god to assure armageddon will happen in our life time.

We also came discusses the vanity of an Evangelical Armageddonist and an appropriate slogan was rendered to ascribe the armageddon subscribor:

The war imn Iraq has to be a relifious war. I have ask Dubya's minions to give reasons, since all of the reasons we invaded were proved wrong. The only explanation hegemony (the theft of Iraqi oil) and the motivation for the masses is to call Moslems "satanic" - how else could go an American send of a child to kill someone who has done no wrong or have that child die at the hand of someone who has the right to defend their homeland.

The evangelical contingent in the thread, once they releazed that the reason for the invasion were lies, started listing fallback excuses for our crimes in Iraq. One poster even suggested that we we're fighting against Islamic circumcision of women.

The theory of evolution piece was to expose the more zealous posters as evangelicals. Ask an evangelical how old the earth is and he will tell you about 8000 years (the flood) which is completely rediculous. Some tried not to answer, and thus not be exposed others walked right in. Creationsim is a false designer science embraced by evangelicals. So the exorcise in the thread was mostly to familiarize "libertines" with the various ways to test an individual for symptons that reveal an evangelical fervor or zealousy.

When we hear people say "god told us to do it" we worry and we need to be able to spot those kinds of individuals quickly - so that was why the war (Iraq to the drumbeat of XTian Evangelicals and their "chosen" one Dumbya, was mixed with evolution.

Read through the thread - it's amazing how old fashing some of our thinking is. Like dark ages old - BTW - Do you have any newt eggs or lizard eyes you'll trade for a dragon feqather?:-)
