>>Hi everyone!
>>I'm back - (After all, one can't snowboard in CO. all year long!). I'm working on porting a multitier WAN deployed MUMPS database to VFP 5.0 with InterSystem corp. Cache (MUMPS) as the backend.

>Welcome Back Jon! Excuse the geek curiousity here... but what is MUMPS?
Mumps is a Database Server ( MUMPS - Massachusetts General Universal Multi Programming System ). It is a heiracrhical database that kicks some serious butt over a WAN. A 56k connection can support 16 users running a GUI application! It is multi-tiered ( application and database servers )
It is used in hospital information systems and buy brokerage houses
