Hi Tek

This is completely not accurate, you can modify the report quite easy and with one click of a button run it while modifying it and see how it looks like.
It also enables you to fully control the query before creating the report. It has a powerful parameters form, which keeps the history of each parameter's value. That´s a functionality thats quite easy to implement and you don´t have to program it the hard way in VFP. Just select the needed parameters and the form is created for you.
It has a full multi lingual capability and the user can translate the entire UI interface plus the message via the Multi Lingual manager, plus you can translate all the report strings as well. I´m currently doing the translation to German Language and if you can use it just give me a call.
Cross Tabs can be done manually I think, but I haven´t done it myself. (No need)

It also enables you to run the report from anywhere in the application while passing the report's id, and this way there is no need to load the VisualRep User interface for each report, just instantiate a class in VisualRep and run the report.
I like the tech support (Doron is very helpful on the Phone or through an Netmeeting Session) and it has a dedicated news group that can be found on News.ProMatrix.com and see the VisualRep NG. What I like the most is how VisualRep grabs the relations and field captions from different clients server so no need for me to maintain another data dictionary. It also works greatly with the Visual ProMatrix data dictionary. The minute I select 2 tables like Clients and Orders the JOIN conditions is created on the fly for me.
You can check the article on VisualRep in the FoxPro advisor on February 2004.

I´ve done a check on SF-Query also. SF-Query has a very easy interface but for me the real power is in VisualRep.
As I stated before, just download their Trial Version and test it for a full 30 days. I think that VisualRep is well worth the money. (Maybe I get some money for my advertising here :) )

Regards
Christoph
