I am having a numeric field in the group footer. I have selected ‘Sum’ from the Calculation option to show the group total. If I use TRANSFORM function with this field, it shows ****, no matter how big the size is. It works fine without TRANSFORM. I tried specifying the format as TRNASFORM(AMOUNT, “999999.999”), but there is no change. What can be the possible reason?


I think the reason is you are summing a non-numerical expression which result in an overflow(error?):****

You can change the format of a numeric report field by typing the wanted format in the "format" texbox . So if you want a format as 999999.999, type this in the textbox.
