You can tune Intellisense via the Intellisense Manager under Tools. However, the autocomplete feature will irritate you the first two-three days, but after that you will love it and you don't want to live without it, so I strongly recommend that you DO NOT turn it off, just get used to it. The autocomplete is one if the BIGGEST advantages of Intellisense.

Some of the default can in deed be annoying. Under Intellisense Managaer->Advanced->Edit Properties, you can for instance turn off the automatic TO for certain SET commands, and you can select different options for capatilazation for VFP commands and keywords. One of the greatest features of Intellisense, is that you can tune and extend it practically without limitations.

Try xx=CREATEOBJECT('internetexplorer.application') and press Enter in the Command window. Then you enter xx. and all the PEMs of Internet Explorers pops up with tooltips. Do you really want to turn that feature off?
