1. It is a numeric field N(12,3), which I am trying to sum.


Yes I know. But the numeric field (to my humble opinion) is changing to character string by the command : transform(NumField). So I think the report sum like this : sum(transform(NumField)). It is "summing" a character string.


2. I am using the TRANSFORM function to apply a specific format which is not possible otherwise. But, as i mentioned before, even TRANSFORM without any format is showing the ****.
