Oops! - Meant to put this in the Windows control library section:

I have noticed when I have a form open in design view that contains a user control, if there is any error in the user control when the solution gets built, the designer deletes the user control - sometimes most or all of the initialization code and sometimes just the line that adds it to the container or the form. I have to delete the declarations at the top of the class and then drop the controls back on the form again, reposition it and so forth. Aside from remembering to close the form design page before testing changes to the user control, is there something else I can do to get around this behavior?
