Hi guys

Sorry, the editor truncated my title: Why does VFP get "Tired"?

I've used VFP 3, 5 and 7 and in all three versions I've noticed the following:

At some point in my session the UI seems to freeze up on me. This is particularly noticeable in the form's Method window - procedure combo. I click on it and the combo drops down. As always (Sod's Law) the method I want is "up" the list so I click on the drop down scroll bar.

Here VFP seizes up and the hour-glass appears in the cursor. I have to wait for it to come back before I can continue scrolling. This can sometimes take 10s of seconds. Clicking on another task in the task bar and then coming back to VFP usually frees it but not always.

I used to notice this behaviour particularly after I'd been using the UI for several hours, but it can happen at any time really. This is why I refer to it as VFP getting tired. It's not just on my m/c cos I've noticed this behaviour on 4 or 5 different m/cs - different specs and OS from 95 to XP Professional.

Anyone else experienced this and/or know why it happens?
