>How did you get home afterwards? Weren't all of the planes grounded? That's correct. We were all stranded in San Diego for days. I guess there are worse places to be stranded at <g>.
The hotel (Sheraton by the airport) was nice enough to extend our stay at the same DevCon rate (it's not that they were getting new arrivals anyway). Being close to the airport, it was eerie {sp?} for it to be absolutely silent for days.
Some people rented cars/vans and drove home (I remember Doug Hennig was one of them). Me and my wife stayed until the airport opened a few days later. We toured San Diego with several other attendees and speakers. I remember going to places with Doug Hennig and Tamar, another day with Barbara Peisch (who is a local in SD), Andy and Marcia, and going to dinner with wOOdy, Igor Vit, and several other attendees.
A week we'll never forget.
