I would've loved to have just stayed there a coupla days and do some sight-seeing ... this was my first time in San Diego. If it had only been Gary and I, we would've stayed. But, we had two other co-workers with us (who both had wives and kids at home) and Gary felt responsible for getting them both home, since he was the boss. So, we rented a car. *Never* rent a Monte Carlo!! The guys jokingly referred to the car as the "Iron Maiden" ... a bit uncomfortable for such a long ride home ... especially with two big guys in the small back seat. It took us two days to get back (stopping overnight in Klamath Falls, OR), and Gary drove the entire way (we all offered to take our turns, but Gary gets car sick if he's a passenger, but it's not a problem when he drives).
