It's been a while since I did this (and for some reason, I couldn't find the original code). At any rate, if I remember right, I >think< the "magic" was that I was using Stonefield Database Toolkit (SDT) metadata along with this. I don't think I copied the indexes along with the data, and as soon as I got a copy of the data I immediately used Stonefield (either programmatically, or "manually") to rebuild the tables for me with the correct indexes/field names.
