Can i just check some details?

When you run the app if another instance of this app is running you want it to warn the user and shutdown?

The problem at the minute is that the instance check works great (as supplied by Marcia) but the default VFP window still fires. You can then minimise and maxisimise the window and finally it quits.

You could try setting _screen.minbutton = .F. and _screen.maxbutton = .F. in your start up program and adding an On Shutdown command.

So basically the user will either hit the messagebox button and be thrown out or hit the X button and be thrown out.
