>I was sent a PDF with many images, but am unable to find a way to get them out. The author of the document is unavailble to get them in their original formats. I have the full version of Adobe Acrobat and I'm trying to get them in an image format. Is this possible?

PDF has the option to select either text, or graphics; there are different buttons for this. Then, you can select "Copy".

I believe selecting graphics might include the text too, as a graphic. Just as in the suggestion you got from Dragan, it may be necessary to show the image bigger than usual to get the image in a convenient size.
