With so much history in Windows... one wonders what does "compatibility" means if it's just a checkbox. Compatibility with what - pre-XP Windows, Windows 9.x, Windows 3.x, 16-bit engine in general, DOS (version?)...?

Just help for "Set compatible" in Fox shows how much history is there, and how meaningless are some of "compatibility" settings today.

As some consolation, I've heard most of the Fortran compilers still include punchcard reading modules... just in case.
