USB supports a wide variety of devices. It's up to the USB hardware vendor to provide drivers (at least) for their device(s) to interface with the OS in question. Whether they provide any other software is up to them.

The "B" in "USB" stands for "bus" - USB is a bus, like PCI for example. With multiple devices attached, at any moment bus traffic can be a mix of hard drive, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet card, speakers ...

I don't imagine you want to deal with the traffic at this low level - you probably have a specific device in mind. You want to monitor this device, not the bus. So, you need to speak with the hardware vendor.
