I have seen and know of a program utility that was written for FoxPro 2.0 (I believe it was published in a Power Utilities book) that had a program that re-used deleted records. Instead of appending a record to a table, the utility program first checked to see if any records are marked as deleted, and if so, it replaced the values in the columns and 'un-deleted' the record. Check to see if ACCPAC uses this kind of utility program.

>I have a client use ACCPAC Pro6.5. It use VFP7.0 database. One day they find that 50 records in the "POMAST" table is missing. But for sure these records is there before. I check the table and find one empty record marked deleted after the missing record. And there are some old deleted records on the top. How can it happen? the missing records is really gone, it's not marked deleted. Is bad index can cause this? I delete the index and still cannot see the missing records.
