BTW support for 4.11 stopped in 2002.

>Hi Neil, yes I'm aware of that and have been trying to convince the client that it's time for a change. I'm still waiting for his decision so let's see what happen.

>>I would suggest one of two scenarios:
>>1. install a new WIN2000 or 2003 server just to run MSSQL -or-

>>>I have this potential client who has a Novell 4.11 network. My application is developed with VFP and SQL Server as the back end, so this is not a very good news for me. I don't want to change the Backend even if it's VFP.

>>>>To the best of my knowledge, the last version of SQL Server to run on Novell is version 6.5. There are other choices for databases but most vendors are not supporting Novell anymore. For example, the last version of Oracle to run on Novell was 8.1.7.2.5 and Oracle is now up to version 10. Pervasive runs on Novell but is really not a true SQL implementation as it just uses language extensions to the btrieve engine. However, Suse Linux (which is owned by Novell) will give you more choices in a database selection.
