I have a DTS from excel that is giving NULL for only numeric data in a column that is predominant text.

It's a pricing sheet that marking uses and I have to grab the current pricing from it.

in the same column I can get:
221**AH
A
AH
X
NULL should have read '4'

User won't add the ' ' around the # because this is a file going to a printer.

Any ideas?
