I said memo field corruption is one of the reason, not the only reason I choose MySql. :p

I have a lot of user here. I have difficulties to trace what are the reasons to cause my DBF corrupt. It may be caused by power failure, improper shutdown or whatsoever...and it is really hard to prevent too.

It may happen not so frequently. But once it happen I have to do a lot of job and spend a lot of time to ensure the consistance of data. It's really nigthmare for me.

I m loyal VFP supportor as you too. :)

>I won't argue about "a (more) robust backend" except to say that if that was the reason E C chose MySQL then that should have been the reason stated. As it was all he said was 'I had memo trouble so I switched', which is why I wrote what I wrote.
