Hi Neil:

If you ever figure it out you should get back to both DBI and InstallShield (Macrovision).

I fed your solution back to them and they both thanked me for it. Neither Support Group had heard of this before.

I should tell you that Macrovision had agreed to investigate it for $150 US without guaranteeing that they would fix it. I told them that now that they know the answer (from you), they should give the answer out for free. Macrovision do not fully support the version of InstallShield that comes with VFP. Remember it is called the "Limited Version". It appears that they gave the "Limited Version" to Microsoft for free with the hope that they could eventually make money through upgades. Then along came Andrew Neil in the Sept/04 Issue of VFP Advisor and said that Inno Setup was free and better. So I am not sure how many upgrades they are selling.

Actually in spite of a really geeky Help File, I have come to like "Install Shield Limited". I had some difficulty figuring out how it worked but now that I have it working I am very happy with it. In some ways I am relieved that I don't have the full version because learning the new features would be another hit and miss task and I am not sure I need them.
